DAY 3, CHATTANOOGA: Today we get up, say our goodbyes, and head to the grocery store to replenish our supplies. We’ve been trying to buy and assemble all more of our food on this tour, as we are all broke as shit. It works out better this way, anyhow. Aside from normal sandwich, fruit and veggie-type stuff, Sam picks out some sweet HI-C that has already set the bar for my day pretty high.
DAY 3 PLAYLIST: Slade / Daft Punk / Brian Eno
When we get to Chattanooga, Chris and I find a coffee shop and gain access to WORLD WIDE WEB to sort out some Bangs-related stuff. The other dudes walk down to the waterfront with our pal Robert. Evidently he sings “Under the Bridge” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, under a bridge downtown. I wasn’t there, but I will assume this was both true and breathtakingly poignant.
The show at JJ’s that night is a next-level blast of red-hot laser jams. And with very few fuck-ups, even! We all feel pretty good about the show, especially Brandon, who’s playing guitar for us on this tour. He’s still getting comfortable with the songs, but at this show really begins to blast flaming eagle claws of rock fury from his axe. The place is pretty well packed, and Carly and Emily drive down from Knoxville to hang out, as well as some Chattanooga pals, providing us with an extra boost of rock energy. We convert this energy into sweat and pass it on to the audience at a considerable savings.
Moonlight Bride bust out a set of crowd pleasing super jams, and everyone goes home happy, laden with many riches. We return to Robert’s Parkerdome, where we are to stay for the night and dispose of brews and video game high scores. A late night ideological conflict erupts into brief violence, and is resolved, I’m pretty sure, by a Krystal sackful.

my favorite memory from that night was when sam killed all of my plants. wait, did I say favorite?
JUST PLAYIN’. you babies are welcome at the parkerdome ANYTIME.
